About Us

Welcome to our club where we love nursery rhymes and how much they give everyone.

Most of these rhymes you will know in some form or other and we include wherever possible a YouTube video and music score to help you with the rhythm.

We also include lots of activities covering a mixture of ages, ranging from items you can make for your baby (Twinkle Twinkle Baby Mobile and Star Projector) to board games (Humpty Dumpty and Hickory Dickory Dock), toys you can make at home including an ever expanding fairy castle that can be played by pre-schoolers and older. Other activities include crafts that you can enjoy making with your child and even games that can be made to be played outside (Baa Baa Black Sheep Croquet). You are never too old to get some enjoyment from nursery rhymes.

We have also tried to make the preparation for these activities as simple as possible as we know time is precious and tried to use resources that most people will find around the house. Some games and toys do take longer to make (but that is because they are extra special and we are sure you will agree are worth it!) but there are also plenty of toys and games that are quick to make as well. A printer and paper is necessary and if you have a laminator then the games you make will last longer and can be put away in a cupboard to be played with again and again. If you don't have a laminator you can just use thin cardboard instead.

The site is continually ongoing so more and more activities will be added each day and if there is any nursery rhyme that we have not included please feel free to let us know.

Finally why do we love nursery rhymes so much? It is because all round the World whatever your background nursery rhymes have usually played an important part in our lives. When we are babies some of the first words we hear from our parents are songs and nursery rhymes, which we then share with our first friends when we go to playgroup. Nursery rhymes show us the love we get from our parents and they help us to speak and understand the world around us which we then pass onto our own children.

Let us pass on the delights of nursery rhymes together.
